Bioderma Sébium Masque

Bioderma Sébium Masque* - £11.42

I've been on the lookout for a fresh and cleansing mask for a while so when I got this Bioderma Sébium Masque* aimed at oily and congested skin, I was rather pleased to say the least.

It has a very weird consistency, almost like one of those Sure/Dove deodorant creams, and while instructs that you should 'Apply a thick and uniform layer' I've found that it's quite hard to get a layer like that. Having said that, it still works wells for me, so don't let that put you off.

When it's on the face it doesn't make it feel dried up (Origins Clear Improvements that means you) and smells really fresh, so I know that my face is getting cleansed. It also slightly exfoliates when washing it off, because of little beads in the formula, which is quite a nice bonus.

The results? I found that it controlled the amount of oil produced on my T-zone, but left my cheeks a little dehydrated. Due to this, I'll leave it as a mask to target excess oiliness on my worst areas but leaving it for my "normal" areas.

I would recommend this for only the oiliest of skin types, otherwise it can be really drying and make it feel a bit uncomfortable. This mask is not for those people who feel as though they have just a few oily patches, but only for the people who find that oiliness is a big problem.

For just over a tenner, I really think that, if you're wanting a mask to target oiliness, this mask is the way forward. It feels fresh and light on the skin as well as really helping to control oiliness. As of now, the only UK stockist I can find is Farmaline, which you can find here.

  1. This sounds like something I may have to look for when we get in the middle of summer. The humidity really makes my tzone oily.

  2. Glad you like it! This mask really is just for the T-zone of oily areas, best not used on normal or dry skin. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with ;)
