HOLIDAY PACKING: The Toiletries

This will be the first of a three part series titled 'Holiday Packing' (exciting, I know) where I share my tips for packing, both carry-on and luggage items.

This is the first installment: Toiletries
Do you use holidays as an excuse to buy lots of mini bottles of things that you could easily decant into clear bottles, but don't because the minis are just too cute! No? Just me then..

First off, are the 'seasonal' items. I like to pack a big bottle of suncream in my suitcase and a small one in my handbag, not forgetting an after sun cream in case you get burnt! I've been using Nivea suncream since I can remember, but this is a relatively new formula which sprays invisibly, meaning you don't have to do any of the oily, rubbing into the skin. The Hawaiian Tropic after sun cream smells amazing and I can't wait to use it (even if I haven't been burnt!)
Then of course, is the extra-strength insect repellent. The Jungle Formula is just a standard insect repellent but the Life Systems one is a professional, ultimate protection repellent. If this doesn't work, then nothing will!

Then is the exciting bit- skincare!
I have the Yes to Cucumbers facial wipes to remove any makeup after a long day when I'm too tired- lazy- to completely wash my face. To prevent any oiliness and to just clean my face, I have Bioderma Sébium H2O. I love this so much, it's really refreshing! I packed the Simple Kind to Skin facial wash is for the evenings when I have a bit more time and can put in the effort to give my face a proper wash!
In case I get any spots while I'm away, I have the miracle worker Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions which can sting but really does the job. I was given a mini Clinique moisturiser with a previous purchase, meaning I didn't have to invest in a mini or even worse, bring my huge bottle! For my puffy eyes I brought my Yes to Cucumbers eye gel to apply morning and night, correcting any dark circles.
Now it's time for the hair essentials! When I'm a humid climate (or really any climate) my hair goes frizzy, and I'm talking ultra-afro. To keep my hair looking vaguely normal, all of the products I have packed are to do with taming frizz. First is the Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo and spray which work together to keep my hair just that little bit less frizzy! I've emptied my Aussie 3 Minute Frizz Remedy into a spare bottle I found lying about, and I have my Frizz-Ease hair serum which really does work miracles.

Finally are the 'boring' essentials that I couldn't go away without! The Dove Maximum Protection deodorant will save me in the heat of my holiday! I have the Soap & Glory Clean on Me shower gel which is really moisturising (and smells amazing). The Bath & Body Works 'Sweet Pea' body lotion smells incredible and makes my skin so soft. Finally is the Bath & Body Works 'Island Breeze' sanitiser, something I need to keep hygienic at all times!

So these are the (many) products that I take away with me when going on holiday!
If you have any recommendations please do tell me below.
Love, D xxx
