October Favourites

This month has been a busy one, although I usually feel that the month has gone by quickly I feel like it has just dragged on! I've opted for plainer looks, which I think is pretty obvious by my favourites this month and just really taking a simpler approach in terms of beauty.

I was away on quite an adventurous type of holiday, which meant that foundation, blush and eyeliner wasn't really appropriate. I found myself using Benefit The POREfessional with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 'Translucent' and lashings of Maybelline the Rocket Volum' Express mascara, holding a beautiful curl for such a long time.
Even when I was back in London, I opted for a more natural look, just adding the easy-to-use the Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze'. It's long lasting and looks really beautiful.

Next are the skincare and haircare items, with the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask came to the rescue when my nose in particular felt congested and my pores felt blocked. While slightly drying, it really does the job in reducing blemishes.
After cleansing and toning I like to spritz the Caudalie Beauty Elixir on a cotton pad and swipe it all over, causing a tingling sensation and leaving my face feeling really fresh.
Finally is the Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh shampoo. While I don't have greasy hair, I love using this when I feel like there's quite a bit of product build-up in my hair and I need a clarifying shampoo. This smells really lemony fresh and leaves my hair truly cleansed.
