Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss

Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss - £6.19
I've never been a lipgloss person, finding them to be sticky and just generally annoying. I think we can all agree that windy days +  lipgloss = hair stuck to face. The only lip gloss-type product that I've actually liked using has been the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector and nothing else- cue the Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss

I picked up the shade Cashmere Rose on recommendation from the great VDM (Vivianna Does Makeup for you newbies) and I must say it has exceeded all expectations. Imparting a lovely, muted pink colour, with a really shiny finish, it's become a staple for those days where I don't have much going on but still want a bit of somethin' somethin' on my lips.

It has quite a moisturising formula so my lips aren't left dehydrated like so many other products do. However, the longevity is where it's lacking, as I find that after about an hour it's completely gone. I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised since I find that to be the case with all glosses I've tried, so this isn't a deal breaker for me.

I'm really impressed with Maybelline's lipgloss offering and am definitely planning to have a Boots swatching session to check out the other shades! I think for just over £6 this lip gloss is great value for money, with a great applicator and formula, as well as pretty great pigmentation. Lipglosses are officially back on the cards.

  2. I don’t wear lipglosses for the same reason. I tend to stick to lipstick. This does sound rather good though! Thanks for sharing chick, lovely review! :-) xx
